TOOTH EXTRACTIONS
If a tooth has been so damaged by disease or decay that a filling or root canal will not be enough to repair the damage, we will recommend a tooth extraction. After administering anesthesia, Dr. Patel will remove the damaged tooth, clean the area, and attach an implant, bridge, or partial denture in its place.
Tooth extractions may be required in other situations, such as crowding, wisdom teeth removal, or trauma.
CONSCIOUS SEDATION
For smaller procedures, we may use conscious sedation instead of general anesthesia. This combination of medicine will not cause you to lose complete consciousness, but it will help you relax and relieve anxiety you may be experiencing. In addition to conscious sedation, we always numb the areas of your mouth that we are working on.
SINUS LIFT
If you have suffered significant bone loss, this common dental procedure prepares your mouth for dental implants by adding bone to your upper jaw. The added bone provides the support that your jaw needs to place the implants. This procedure is typically done toward the back of your jaw, near your sinuses, hence the name.
DENTURE STABILIZATION
Dentures are not permanently attached to your jaw, making it easy for them to slide or fall out of place when you don’t want them to. Denture stabilization keeps them in place better by anchoring them to an implant in your jaw. While the dentures will still be removable, you won’t have to worry about them moving around at inconvenient times.
