Dr. Rushang S. Patel provides state-of-the-art, minimally-invasive dental care to his patients, who refer to him as “the Enamel Hero” because of his dedication to saving as much enamel as possible. After being born and raised in Tanzania, he moved to Canada for high school and then to California for college, where he studied bioengineering at the University of California in San Diego. He worked as an engineer designing drug-eluting stents and pacemakers for six years before finding his true passion: dentistry.
Though he never thought he would become a doctor, Dr. Patel was fascinated by the art of engineering and science, and he found that his engineering background equipped him to practice dentistry more precisely. He completed his DDS at the prestigious University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He prioritizes minimally-invasive dental treatment, preventative dentistry, and patient education. His practice philosophy is centered around educating patients about their oral health—how and why things break down, how to best restore decay, and, most importantly, how to make teeth last for a lifetime. He believes that if you can see better, you can treat better, which is why he uses microscope technology for every dental procedure.
Dr. Patel was hand-picked by Dr. Larry Ford (previous owner of the practice) from one of many dentists to continue his legacy forward. Dr. Patel is looking forward to continuing the fantastic care that Dr. Ford has provided to the community for over 43 years. Dr. Patel and his team are committed to listening to patients in order to really understand their concerns and long-term goals. His treatment recommendations are practical, attainable, and grounded in evidence based on dental research. He is dedicated to creating a WOW experience for every patient.
In his free time, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his wife, Grishma Zaveri DDS, and their two sons. They like to travel, hike, experience new cuisines, and spend time with their family and friends. Dr. Patel is in the midst of a spirited campaign to convince his wife to adopt a puppy!
Giving Back to the Community
As part of his commitment to patient care, Dr. Patel aspires to continually learn, improve and stay at the forefront of dental technology. He enjoys volunteering his time and dental skills to projects like CDA Cares, Give Kids a Smile, Project Homeless, and the 1,000 Smiles mission project in Jamaica.

Jennifer was born in Marin and raised in Petaluma. She is a positive, outgoing mother of two children. Jennifer is compassionate about making patients feel comfortable and happy along with making sure patients have the best experience coming to the office. When she’s not with her dental family, she loves spending time with her family.

Scheduling Coordinator
Sylvia is a native Californian. The better part of her working career has been in dentistry. She enjoys building a dental “family” through compassion and her dental knowledge. Sylvia enjoys spending her free time gardening, sailing, and going to the beach.
Angelina
Registered Dental Hygienist
Angelina is a true Colorado native, wife and mother of three. She is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled hygienist. Angelina enjoys building long lasting relationships with her patients by adding education and value to every appointment.
Marissa
Registered Dental Hygienist
Marissa graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College. Her favorite part about being a hygienist is educating her patients on correlation between oral and systemic health. In Marissa’s free time, she enjoys gardening, cooking and spending time in Lake Tahoe.
Wendy
Dental Assistant
Wendy has been a dental assistant for over 12 years and loving it. When she is not at the office she loves spending time with her dogs Paco, Remi and Khloe. She enjoys lacing up her skates with a Roller Derby league, where they don’t just skate together, but also volunteer throughout the community together.
